Dáil na nÓg will take place on
March 25th, 2006 in Croke Park.
NYCI has been awarded the contract to organise and manage Dáil na nÓg for the next three years (2006 – 2008) NYCI organise the Dáil in partnership with Foróige and the National Youth Federation on behalf of the Office for the Minister for Children.
As in previous years, the Comhairlí have had an opportunity to vote on what themes they would like to be considered at Dáil na nÓg 2006. The results of that vote mean that the following two themes will be discussed at Dáil na nÓg 2006:
1. Migration and Interculturalism
2. Facilities for Young People
As per 2005, regional delegate support/training meetings will be coordinated by Foróige and the National Youth Federation to ensure that delegates are prepared for the event by being familiar with the themes andprocedures of the event. These meetings will take place locally throughout February and March. Training will take place on February 20th – all CEDOs are also invited to attend. Trainers from Foróige and the National Youth Federation will be in contact after the training to coordinate the delegate support meetings.
Additional Information will also be posted on this page in mid-February on the:
- Election of the Coiste (The Coiste is the follow-up group who are responsible for driving forward the policies and decisions made at Dáil na nÓg)
